Every corner is a photograph waiting to happen. The audio guide was genuinely interesting and meant we could wander at our own pace instead of trailing a group

Booked a morning slot and it was the right call — soft light, fewer people and the views over the city were incredible. Entry was quick with the mobile ticket

Worth every minute. Wear comfortable shoes, there are plenty of slopes and steps, but the mosaics and the terrace at the top make it more than worth the climb
Things to Know Before Booking

What Your Ticket Includes

Entry to the Park Güell Monumental Zone — the dragon staircase, the Hypostyle Hall, the Nature Square with its serpentine bench, the Portico of the Washerwoman and the Àustria Gardens — plus a downloadable audio guide for Android and iOS. The Casa Gaudí Museum, guided tours, food and transport are not included.

Age Recommendations

Suitable for all ages. Infants aged 0–6 and children aged 7–12 have their own rates, and children should be accompanied by an adult.

Best Time to Attend

Early morning and late afternoon slots are calmer and kinder to photographs. Midday in summer is both the busiest and the hottest — plan for around 1.5 to 2 hours inside.

Facilities

There are toilets, a café and a shop on site, and plenty of shaded spots to rest. Entry is by timed slot, so keep your mobile ticket to hand — staff may ask to see it anywhere in the park.

Getting There

The park sits on Carmel Hill above Gràcia at Carrer d'Olot, 11. Metro Line L3 to Lesseps or Vallcarca leaves you a 15–20 minute uphill walk; outdoor escalators cover part of the climb from Vallcarca. Parking nearby is very limited.

How Long Do You Need?

Most visitors spend around 1.5 to 2 hours in the Monumental Zone — enough for the dragon staircase, the Hypostyle Hall, the Nature Square terrace and the Portico of the Washerwoman, with time to sit on the serpentine bench and take in the view.

The park is open daily from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM and entry is by timed slot. Arrive a few minutes before yours, and allow extra time for the free surrounding woodland and the walk back down into Gràcia.

How to get there

Venue: Park Güell, Carrer d'Olot, 11, Gràcia, 08024 Barcelona

By Metro: Line L3 (Green) to Lesseps or Vallcarca, then a 15–20 minute walk uphill. From Vallcarca, outdoor escalators cover part of the climb.

By Bus: Several city bus routes serve the streets around the park — check local timetables for the best option from where you are.

By Taxi: Taxis and ride-hailing apps can drop you close to the main entrance on Carrer d'Olot.

By Car: Parking nearby is very limited and restricted, so public transport is strongly recommended.

Food and Drink
Terra Mia
A relaxed tapas bar and restaurant with a terrace looking back towards the park — fresh, seasonal plates just after your visit. Approx. 5-minute walk.
Bar Casi
An old-school neighbourhood gem downhill from the park, all generous portions and daily menus. Locals come for the grilled butifarra with beans. Approx. 10-minute walk.
Santa Magdalena
Traditional Catalan cooking in Gràcia, a short stroll from the park gates and a favourite for a proper sit-down lunch. Approx. 12-minute walk.
Fino Bar
Contemporary small plates and natural wine in the heart of Gràcia — worth the walk downhill for something a bit more inventive. Approx. 15-minute walk.
